Looking for a unique, engineering focused way to spend your Fall Break. Join Paige Davis, Instructor at LSU's College of Engineering, as she leads a group of students to the legendary Silicon Valley area to meet with a variety of engineers. A representative from the Olinde Career Services Center at LSU will join the group to explore internship potential and discuss workplace etiquette.


Space is limited. Sign up now to assure that you can be included. There will be a screening process for interested candidates based on the following criteria:  major, gpa, and hours earned.

Spending money: Although some meals are provided, you should plan for additional expenditures, including meals not covered by the program fee, snacks, souvenirs, and outings with friends.

Course Description
ENGR 2050  Undergraduate Seminar

In order to participate you must be enrolled in ENGR 2050 for the fall semester. If you sign up for the field trip and later drop the ENGR 2050 course, you may have to pay for part or all of the trip based on your withdrawal date.

Eligibility & Withdrawal

In order to be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old by the first day of the program
  • Selection will be based on GPA, Hours Earned, and Major.
  • Not be on disciplinary or scholastic probation
  • Be enrolled in ENGR 2050 for the Fall semester 2017

July 15

 

Because payments will be made to hotels and airlines on your behalf starting, there is a penalty if you withdraw from the program after August 4, even if you do not go on the program. The amount that you will owe is based on the date on which you withdraw. The schedule of payments is:

Withdrawal between August 4 and August 28  $500 Deposit is nonrefundable
Withdrawal after August 28 Entire program fee will be paid
