Emporia State UniversityEmporia State University

Emporia State University (ESU) is located in Kansas, in the Heart of America. Founded in 1863, ESU offers Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. programs. ESU is organized into four colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business (AACSB-I accredited), Teachers College and School of Library Science and Information Management. ESU enrolls about 6,114 students who enjoy an intimate teaching environment (faculty/student ratio is 1:18). Princeton Review and The U.S. News and World Report ranked ESU among the Best Universities in the Midwest and the FBI ranked ESU the safest campus in Kansas.

Campus Location

The City of Emporia (26,000 pop) is located in Central-East Kansas, in the scenic Flint Hills. Emporia is a business center and self-supported City. Students at ESU enjoy the urban life with immediate access to outdoor adventures. Two major highways connect ESU with larger metropolitan areas (Kansas City, Topeka, and Wichita) in less than 90 minutes..
