UMass BostonUniversity of Massachusetts - Boston

The University of Massachusetts Boston is located off the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and sites on a 177 acre peninsula, Its site affords an excellent view of the ocean and UMB's neighbor, the J. F. Kennedy Presidential Library. The campus is easily accessible, by car or public transportation, from most communities in the greater Boston area. Boston has upheld its reputation as an educational, cultural, historical, and recreational center of the United States. The city is withinn two hours of the beautiful Cape Cod beaches, as well as the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts.

UMB is a public university established in 1964. One hundred percent commuter, the student body is diverse. Programs are offered for students in the Colleges of Liberal Arts, Science and Mathematics, Management, Public and Community Service, Nursing and Health Science, College of Education and Human Development, and the newly established University College.

Helpful Information

Massachusetts has an excellent public transportation system and the Student Activities office offers discount passes for the transportation system (MBTA).
